Experience

Shan is the head of Labor at SOK SIPHANA & ASSOCIATES in the China Desk and the Employment Practice Group. He has experience in providing advice to clients on employment issues in English and Chinese. He is also fluent in English, Chinese, and Malay

Career

Prior to joining the firm, Shan worked as a Compliance Officer for a garment factory where he managed the factory’s compliance with Cambodian Labor Law and client requirements on employment practices through drafting and reviewing company policies. He also chaired the PICC worker management meetings and monitored the health and safety of all employees. He was also actively involved in monitoring and resolving employee grievances, conducting and managing CSR audits, and implementing continuous improvement projects. Currently, he also teaches Labor Law as an adjunct faculty at the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP). Shan joined SOK SIPHANA & ASSOCIATES in February 2019.
