As the new year approaches, so do new opportunities. Work permit applications for foreign nationals for the year 2025 are now being accepted until the end of March 2025. Whether you are applying for the first time or seeking an extension or renewal of an existing permit, make sure to submit your application before the deadline.

If you are a company looking to hire or re-hire foreign nationals, you will need to apply for an Annual Quota Permit before you can obtain work permit cards for your employees. Work permit and Quota applications can be processed via the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training’s Foreign Workforce Centralised Management System’s webpage: www.fwcms.mlvt.gov.kh

Labour Inspectors will be conducting workplace inspections to ensure compliance with work permit and quota requirements. Non-compliance, including failing to apply for required quota permits or submitting incomplete or inaccurate applications, may result in hefty monetary penalties for both employers and foreign nationals.
