Jade Hwang elected President of Malaysia Chambers Jakarta

Zaid Ibrahim & Co. Partner and Roosdiono & Partners (R&P) Foreign Counsel Jade Hwang Poh Geok has been elected President of Malaysia Chambers Jakarta, effective 1 August 2019.

Founded in 1990, Malaysia Chambers Jakarta (MJC) builds bridges between the Malaysian expatriate community and Indonesians living in Indonesia. The MCJ promotes closer cooperation and collaboration between Malaysian and Indonesian business interests.

Jade Hwang joined R&P as Foreign Counsel in 2016 and was promoted to Partner at Zaid Ibrahim & Co. in 2018. She is an experienced corporate lawyer, specialising in cross-border M&A, joint ventures and heads the R&P China Desk. Her regional experience includes working in ZICO Law’s Kuala Lumpur and Phnom Penh offices before she was seconded to Jakarta.

Regional Managing Partner of ZICO Law and former MCJ Vice President, Hanim Hamzah, commented on her appointment, “I congratulate Jade on being recently elected as President of the MCJ.
