Over the last 5 years, ASEAN has seen much progress in patent protection. ASEAN too has been making concerted progress towards a harmonious patent protection framework of international standards. As the push towards an industrialized and knowledge-based economy of ASEAN intensifies, greater improvements to the patent regime will be expected in the near future. In this series, we give a detailed look of the progress each ASEAN member country has made towards IP legislation and patent protections.
