Its focus includes the problem of competing legal duties in cross-border transactions, the EU’s new General Data Protection Regulation monetary sanctions on failures to maintain confidentiality of personal data, as well as best practices in compliance for law firms in terms of adopting internal procedures, policies, trainings, and third-party flow-down requirements.
