Federal Court strikes out farmers’ bid for leave to challenge legality of MB Inc Perak

Dato’ Firoz, Partner at ZICO Law Malaysia in an article entitled ‘Federal Court strikes out farmers’ bid for leave to challenge legality of MB Inc Perak’ from The Sun Daily Online emphasized that the court to strike out the farmers’ leave application, saying they did not have the locus standi to maintain the suit as they were squatters who had unlawfully occupied the 1,500 acres of land belonging to the Perak Government. He also commented that they had no standing to interfere with the MBIP’s right on who were the registered proprietor of the lands and they had failed to establish any nexus with the two enactments.
