Currently, Cambodia is developing a legal framework around e-commerce and information technology. We have provided advice on the current status of that framework (and the relevant existing law)  both to clients directly, and also in public consultations and seminars. Our advice also extends to data privacy as well as payment systems. Cambodia is adopting a fairly liberal framework with regard to data storage, usage of cloud services and payment systems.  Given the issue of information storage and usage spreads across almost all sectors in Cambodia, it is vital that operators be well versed in the developments taking place and its impact on clients’ business.
